Today, I was able to go to the eye dr, order new contacts and get temporary ones to see with until I get the new ones. When I put the temporary ones in, it was like LIFE!!!!! I was soooo very happy!!!!!
I have learned many lessons while going around half, or mostly blind the past few days. If I'm being honest with you guys, I have had a few melt downs, due to my perception without my vision!! Who knew you needed sight to perceive things correctly?? To be honest, that's totally a new thought to me; I thought perception was what was processed in the mind and heart. Unless you are blind, perception FIRST comes through the eyes. The eye dr herself said as she put her glasses back on, "I don't know about you, but I can't hear unless I have my glasses on!!" Yes!!! Totally agree with that.
I guess I didn't understand how important my eyes were until I couldn't see. So much distortion until I was able to put new contacts in and was able to see life again. When I first started wearing contacts, I was 10 years old, only having worn glasses for 2 years before, the eye dr told my mom that at the rate my eyes were changing, I'd be blind before I was 20. Wearing hard lens contacts would slow that process down dramatically. When I first got them, I was cautioned to take it slow wearing them, but seriously, once they were in, and I could see, I only took them out at night to sleep!!! My vision has always been so precious to me!!!!
I'm sure there are so many lessons I could share with you, but I'll save that for my personal blog, Walking Barefoot!!! Speaking of that blog, I will be writing more for that blog in a few more weeks, when Project 365 is done, but that doesn't mean for a minute that I'm done over here!!!! I'm thinking of new things all the time and now that I have my sight again, I'll be able to incorporate more and more into this blog and website than I have all year!!!
I hope your Tuesday is going fabulously!!!
