"What does this look like?"
"I dunno.....a buffalo? The United States?"
"Ok, now what does it look like?? Oo, see the Bernstein Bears?? See the head, the nose...."
"No.....But I do see Abraham Lincoln"
"Look!!! A foo-foo dog!!!"
And that's my picture. Yep. Do you see the foo-foo dog?? See the high tail, the legs, and the little face, and the bow?? Surely you see the bow on the top right part of the shape.....can you?? Or is that just us??
You have not lived until your mom shows you how to properly play with your food. Sometimes it's throwing peas at a certain somebody if he's in a grumpy mood. And sometimes, it's making shapes out of lunch meat.....yep. That's a foo-foo dog in the lunch meat. So was Abraham Lincoln, and the United States, and the moose....you get the picture. We were just calmly eating lunch, and I look over and my mom was making shapes out of her lunch meat.....that she was feeding the dog, btw, lol!!
No, I'm not a little kid, and my mom is not, like, old or anything. She is the greatest mother and grandmother ever, and someday, when I have little ones, I hope I find shapes in lunch meat, the clouds, bread, or anything else that is "shapeable!!" Haha!!
Hope this doesn't gross anyone out, and that it blesses the moms out there!!! Your job is tough, but you are doing a great job loving on your kids, especially if you play with your food with them!!! If you don't....maybe you should.... ;0) It makes for great memories!!!
