"In all their disress, He, too, was distressed....", "
Lord, the one You love is sick.",
"He heals the brokenhearted",
"Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed....."
What I wanted to give to every receiver of these cards was little nuggets of truth and comfort on carefully hand-crafted, prayed over, cards. I still don't want to be a "stereotypical Christian", I am real, my faith is real, and where it leads me, where God leads me is real. And I guess this is one more way for that transparency to show: by sharing with you my gifts from Him, sharing with you what I thank Him for when I study Scripture every day.
Here are my 3 Gifts in Bible Reading:
-God's Word. Pure and Simple. It's a gift.
-The Interlinear Bible & Strong's Concordance
-The Spirit of Christ reading His Words to me. When I was 17, I stopped reading the Bible because everything I heard in my head was filtered by pastors and teachers. I asked God if He would read it to me when I went back to reading it. He did and I have been changed ever since. He has taught me more than anyone ever has about His Word and life. He is the sweetest Gift ever.
